Watches season one and two this one is even better
Complete second third of American musical drama TV series Nashville on DVD (5 discs).
Set against the backdrop of the Nashville music scene, ‘Nashville’ revolves around a 40-year-old superstar Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton), whose star begins fading. She is forced to team up with Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) on tour in order to maintain her label's support for her latest record, whose sales have been underwhelming.
Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton) and Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) are at the top of their game, but in Nashville, the higher you rise, the farther you fall.
In the aftermath of her mother's death, Juliette is poised to shine brighter than ever – until a sordid scandal threatens to destroy her. Meanwhile, after Rayna nearly loses her life (and her voice) in a horrific accident, she bounces back with her own record label and a new man. But can she still electrify audiences without Deacon by her side? Adding fuel to the fire is the revelation of who Maddie's real father is; and as Deacon and Maddie grow closer, Teddy's resentment intensifies. Then, as the breakout star of Rayna's newly launched label, a burnt-out, emotionally raw Scarlett struggles to cope with life in the proverbial fast lane.
Nashville Series Reviews
“(Connie Britton) is one of TV's most likable and talented stars and Nashville showcases all of her best qualities and highlights one talent we never knew she had: singing!” E! Online
“My favorite thing about Nashville, and something I'm impressed that it's maintained, is its focus on the work and craft of making, especially writing music.” Time Magazine
“Even in a better season, Nashville would stand out, making beautiful music and juicy drama with its sensationally entertaining medley of backstage rivalries, family and political shenanigans, and enough sexy-sudsy twists.” TV Guide
“The supporting cast is uniformly terrific, a series of political and personal dilemmas are depicted with thoughtful nuance, and this show isn't so much about country music as it is about a desire to communicate, be loved and be heard.” Huffington Post
“Happily, Nashville, with its unexpected intelligence and surprisingly low-key attitude, not only met all my cockamamie expectations, it exceeded them.” Salon
