Martin Simpson is one of the world's premiere acoustic guitarists and a powerful songwriter with a rich, charactered voice. His playing, which in part defined the English steel string acoustic guitar sound, is idiosyncratic, instantly recognisable, and revered among guitar fans. His body of work is very diverse encompassing all types of traditional and acoustic music, and he has toured with everyone from June Tabor to Steve Miller.
Andy Cutting is established amongst the leading players and developers of the diatonic button accordion, creating new music for the instrument which draws on a long experience of various traditional dance styles, of which he is an acknowledged master. He is a member of the band ‘Blowzabella’ and in collaborations with violinist Chris Wood and hurdy-gurdy player Nigel Eaton, he has pioneered a uniquely thoughtful and inventive approach to the interpretation of music from the English, French and Quebecois traditions. Also is a part of Mark Emerson's ‘1651’ ensemble.
English folk singer, fiddle player and songwriter, born in Sheffield in 1975. She is the daughter of Sandra Kerr and Ron Elliott and is married to James Fagan, with whom she has played for many years as a duo. Kerr won ‘Folk Singer of the Year’ at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards in 2015.
