Newly married George and Kate Starling arrive home from their honeymoon to discover they’ve lost their door keys. How they come to meet their new neighbours and events that follow, sets the tone for laughter as they explore the perils and pitfalls of love, marriage, anniversaries, petty quarrels and the kind of making-up that’s not so hard to do.

As the series progresses, George and Kate find a new flat as they face up to the realities of becoming parents – something which Kate takes to with grace and assurance, while George will keep stubbing his toe on the crib… in more ways than one.

Marking 50 years since its original broadcast, this three disc collection brings together the complete Series One and Three of the charming marital comedy. Sadly Series Two, Four and Five have been lost to time and are not known to exist, but we have unearthed a rare Marriage Lines sketch from the 1964 edition of Christmas Night with the Stars, included here for the first time anywhere, plus a newly recorded reunion interview with Richard Briers and Prunella Scales.
