The question is up to you. I recently purchased this mouse from mighty ape and have instantly fallen in love with it! It is seriously the most sexiest looking mouse on the market and everytime I look at it, I marvel at how awesome it looks. Everytime I hold it, I marvel at how comfortable and natural it is (after a long time spent customizing of course!) The pre-packaged software is very easy to use and just further expand the customizability of the mouse. Perfect- You ask me, I'd quickly agree! The only thing that still makes me uneasy about this mouse, is the hole it left in my bank account to get it. Great mouse, stomach turning price (I know my stomach turned a little when I clicked the purchase button :P) But if you can afford it, GET IT!! Oh, and the ‘Sniper’ button- Genius. My sniping abilities have increased by at least 25% since using this mouse. It's almost like a cheat button for FPS gamers!

I recently purchased one of these, and its freakin sweet. I had a razer mamba, but as soon as I saw one of these for sale I couldnt resist. Ergonomic and practical, it has heaps of features, many not seen on even high end gaming mice. Particularly enjoying the sniper button on the thumb rest, and the profile changer button. The software that comes with it is simple, but allows for complex macros and other commands. Also, the build quality is top-notch. If you're a gamer, buy this mouse!

The mouse is great to use; adjusting it to your hand is awesome. thee mouse clicks all buttons and well great to use

I have used the mouse at 5 Lans so far and get 6 to 8 hours of battery on almost constant use. to change the battery quick tap the back of the mouse firmly on neoprene mouse pad, battry now easly slips out and slip the other one in. With doing this for months its easy and very fast (2.5 – 3 seconds).

The sensor has a problem with hard black mouse pads.works fine a lot of the time then all of a sudden stops tracking. happens more in low light enviroments. The Rat 7, 5 and 3 I can confirm dont have this issue. I use an Everglide Ricochette which works fine with other Cyborg problems this issue is well documented online.

I recommend the mouse to everyone, I have one and they're great! I prefer it over my Logitech mx Revolution. I Currently use a R.A.T 7 the most. (same mouse but corded version)

Pros: Great ergonomics with all the adjustable features. Very accurate (when lens is clean). Is Wireless. Being wireless does not cause any latency.

Cons: Very sensitive as to what color mouse pad it will work on, HAS to be very light color. Lint on the lens make the mouse unusable. Lens is very hard to get access to clean. Will barely work at LANs due to the interference from other wireless devices.

(DO NOT BLOW HARD ON LENS AS CONDENSATION ON THE LENS WILL TEMPORARILY CAUSE A COMPLETE LOSS OF FUNCTIONALITY)

Highly recommended for gaming in a lint free environment at home.

Apart from some trouble changing the battery and it is a bit too easy to tip the mouse out of range for the laser if you have the back part all the way out (Works fine if you don't need it out all the way). The mouse performs wonderfully, used it for PingZero, 43.5 hours of general lanning and I had to swap the battery twice! No lag at all and all buttons really easy to press. Just put aside a few Hours to get it set up properly.

This is one of the best computer mice I have ever had. I wouldn't choose any other brand.

Pro's:

Con's:

• Battery does not last very long
• Battery is extremely hard to remove and replace.
• Annoying flash on the mouse when battery is far from empty.

Awesome......

I've brought 2 of these (one for work and one for the home office) and I love them. I had to use my old mouse since and I had a cramp in my hand after 5 minutes. All of the adjustable bits are great to dial I'm to suit you hand, especially big ones like mine.

The battery's last me about 9 – 91/2 hours, perfect for my 9 hour shift. The charging time is pretty fast, so you aren't left hanging long.

Only down side so far is, the optical sensor has an opening which gathers dust, as well as hair from my cat who sleeps on my desk. Which brings me to the next point. Because my cat is part satan, he pushes stuff of my (tall standing) desk and one of those things it the mouse, and so far it has withstood the drop.

Totally exceeded my expectations as a mouse, but the battery life is terrible. In its defence I am using it for work, but even so the battery barely lasts the day. That said, it is highly accurate, and the customisation options allow for tailoring to your requirements. And it just looks cool. If the battery lasted longer it would be perfect.

Fantastic mouse great performance battery doesn't last last long but that's ok as it comes with a second. Would recommend to anyone

Love the Rat

This is by far the best mouse you could buy. I have the Razer Ouroborous and Mamba both being fantastic in their own specs and ergonomics. But after I purchased the R.A.T 9, it just changed the whole perspective. It is like creating your own bespoke mouse that suits your palm and grip. It is just brilliant to have so many customising options for the hardware and also the software. The build quality is superb and the aluminium, steel and plastic blend perfectly in the design. With no doubt this mouse supersedes the Razer mice by a long way. Love it!

Using it for one weeks, so far so good. High customization, fast response.

Never had any issues with mouse. The customization is unbelievable, spend the time to program it properly it will make your life/gaming far more easier can be mistaken for a bot on some games because your doing whatever your doing much faster. Also accuracy improved a lot with the precision button

Best mouse its so easy to use and I am actually beating people online now

After a lot of research, I ended up buying the Cyborg R.A.T. 9, not so much because I was convinced I needed a gaming mouse for performance, I just fell in love with the design. It looks like a Transformers mouse that Optimus Prime would use! And transform it does – I can adjust its thumb rest, its weight, 3 pinkie and palm rests to choose from, sniper button, 4 auto levels of DPI, etc.

Like going from dial-up to broadband Internet, I can now say, I CANNOT go back to a normal mouse for gaming. The 5000+ DPIs mean I move and react faster in games, especially great if you like First Person Shooters or Role Playing Games. Going back to my standard mouse makes me feel like I'm playing in slow motion now! And although my R.A.T. 9 is a wireless mouse, I feel absolutely no lag in it's performance. Having trouble sniping- Use the precision button to instantly slow down your mouse for that headshot.

And of course, did I mention how good looking this gaming mouse is-

I've bought, I've owned, and I've used a Razer Mamba, which is said to be the best gaming mouse, extensively. From my experience, this mouse does everything the Mamba does, better, and more. 24/7 wireless capability with 1000hz Ultra-Polling rate is exactly what a hardcore gamer needs, and this mouse just deliver it, and go beyond my expectation. The customization is really wide, and when I thought I can customize the hardware beyond the limit, I find out that I can actually also customize the software… Hardcore gaming hardware is expensive, and buying one that doesn't live up to it's price is not nice. But with this one, I get more than the money I paid. It's the best gaming mouse I've ever tried (and I have tried almost all gaming mouse from Razer & Logitech), and that's a good reason for anyone to leave Razer/ Logitech/ Steelseries behind, and move to this one :D

Easy to change to desired comft levels, nice easy macros and lots of custom changing to the mouse itself.

Wish batterys lasted longer, but has two so has my thumbs up.

Certainly the most adjustable mouse that you'll find, have CNC fabricated an extension to the palm rest so it sits further back on my hand.

Have finally found a mouse with which I'm happy and it's fast enough for gaming (the head-shot button is a bonus).!
