"A worthy Remake"
5 stars"

When put together with ‘Let the Right One In’, it's very difficult to decide which is superior which is the mark of a good remake. I highly advise watching both as they take the source material in 2 different, yet similar directions. The plot is the same but some decisions with regards to story and what to show are different and affect the way the conclusion feels to the audience.

I find LMI easier to connect to than LTROI because the main characters are easier to understand and connect to, but LTROI can be more subtle and shocking. The direction is solid in both and both are equally enjoyable for different reasons. Compare and find the one you like better, for me it's ‘Let Me In’, but only by a hair.

Description

Let Me In

From the director of CLOVERFIELD comes LET ME IN, a darkly haunting and provocative thriller.

Abby (Chloé Grace Moretz – Kick-Ass) is a mysterious 12-year-old who moves next door to Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee – The Road), a social outcast who is viciously bullied at school. In his loneliness, Owen forms a profound bond with his new neighbour but he can’t help noticing that Abby is like no one he has met before. As a string of grisly murders grips his wintry New Mexico town, Owen has to confront the reality that this seemingly innocent girl is hiding a dark secret.
