Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince
During Harry Potter's 6th year at Hogwarts, Lord Voldemort is tightening his grip on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer a safe haven. Harry suspects perils may even lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle fast approaching. Together they work to find the key to unlock Voldemort’s defences and, to this end, Dumbledore recruits his old friend and colleague Professor Horace Slughorn, whom he believes holds crucial information.
Even as the decisive showdown looms, romance blossoms for Harry, Ron, Hermione and their classmates. Love is in the air, but danger lies ahead and Hogwarts may never be the same again.
Critic Reviews:
- " Simultaneously the most mature and the most entertaining; the days of playful sorcery and lighthearted misadventures are long gone. " – Mike Massie
- " While we've always seen touches of brilliance in Radcliffe's work, the most surprising growth comes in the performances of Rupert Grint and Emma Watson. " – Richard Propes
- " Director David Yates and screenwriter Steve Kloves crafted a challenging and decidedly mature film that paves the way perfectly for the two-part finale. " – Leigh Paatsch
