Camp X-Ray is a 2014 American independent drama film based on the detention facility Camp X-Ray at the Guantanamo Bay detention camp.
In an attempt to escape the small-town blues, a young woman (Stewart) joins the military but ends up stationed at Guantanamo Bay. While the culture and climate of the camp proves challenging for the fledgling soldier, she eventually befriends a charismatic and eloquent detainee. Forming an unlikely bond, the two share their own attitudes and ideals, providing a new ethical perspective on a difficult cultural divide.
