This is a Christmas present for a 5-year-old boy this year so I cannot put the comment of the person receive this as a gift. I am liking the chunky part and simpler instructions. He would enjoy working with his Granpa and dad.

Brainbox manufacture a great range of electronic kits with a cool easy to use press-stud system for making the contacts. Kind of like the kits around when I was a kid but much easier to use and no pesky wire to lose or stab yourself with.
As with all Brainbox kits there is no soldering or trimming required – the kit uses simple brightly coloured components with press-stud connectors.
