Kiwi-born, Sydney-based, Jan Preston has become a favourite on the blues and jazz festival scene over the past 5-10 years and her profile has been enhanced by regular appearances on Kim Hill's Show as well as being regularly playlisted on other National Radio programmes.

Jan's eighth album Boogie Boots sees her combining her love for the blues, soul, jazz and boogie woogie and Simon Sweetman's Four Star review in the Dominion Post says … "Here she sounds revitalised, whether tinkering away on old blues covers (Ugly Papa) or creating her own originals in the style of stride-piano classics (Boogie Boots). Equally adept at taking on Clarence Gatemouth Brown (She Walked Right In And She Walked Right Out) and lovingly re-writing Fats Domino (The Big Beat), there's a happy vibe running through this blues-filled recording.
