A good size and seems sturdy. The image is not actually printed onto the mug, but is an insert, so you can change the image. This said, the lid has two layers, where one unscrews to fill the mug and the other to change the picture. The design favours the unscrewing of the compartment to change the picture over the one to fill the mug which is a bit annoying sometimes. But over all a good product.
