Description

Team Foundation Server (TFS) is a core server component of Microsoft's Visual Studio Team System (VSTS). TFS provides the server platform for enabling team development. It offers a shared repository for storing work items, artifacts, test plans, source code, build information etc. TFS represents Microsoft's debut into enterprise project management space, and is bundled with all versions of VSTS. As with all new, complicated products from Microsoft, developers need a trusted guide to help them understand why and how to use TFS. Jamil Azher goes well beyond Microsoft's online documentation to show developers how TFS can be put to use in common, real-life development situations. He also demonstrates how TFS interoperates with other Microsoft products, including Office and Windows Vista, to form an eco-system of complementary technologies.
