Agree with Conor's review; visual style is stunning, the post-apocalyptic world and its robotic inhabitants reminded me very much of the Matrix combined with Little Big Planet somehow..
Clever and inspirational story, good surround sound mix, and voice acting doesn't miss a beat. Maybe a little scary for the young ones in parts. This is far, far better than other post-apocalyptic CG films such as Wall-E.
Although its story is perhaps abit familiar to some people and less complex than some might wish, 9 is visually spectacular, with director Shane Acker and producer Tim burton's attention to detail, 9 succeeds in drawing viewers into the film's post apocalyptic universe.
One of the best animated movies I have seen in a long time, definitely worth the buy!
