8BitDo Pro 2 Bluetooth Gamepad (Black edition) reviews

Light and sturdy, vibration makes a weird noise which takes some getting used to. Good value for what you pay.

8BitDo have a great reputation already, and this controller adds to the quality of products they produce. I use it mainly for the switch while docked and it's quite comfortable and form fitting, with the app available as well makes for great fine tuning your trigger buttons, joysticks and even assigning specific actions to different buttons for different play styles/games . Would highly recommend to anybody after an all around controller for your switch, phone and even laptop on the go.

Things to note before you buy this controller There no nfc Bluetooth takes awhile to connect to my switch console

In the 8bitdo ultamate software for pc and android you can assign the star button as a turbo button You can make macros also but you can not make a wait between button presses so it will execute every thing very quickly. You cannot set a macro to repeat

You can store upto 4 proflies on the controller memory and switch using the middle button

My controller could not update its firmware at first taking out the battery and putting it back in fixed this
also you cannot turbo the macro

Very sleek, super comfortable and easy to use

I first had trouble charging this controller but I removed the battery and re-inserted and it was ok. My only gripe is the design of the black one. I bought it because I'm not familiar with the xbox control buttons (X, Y, A, B) and their locations (i use PS). But the black writing against the black colour is really hard to see. If you are buying for same reasons as I, then choose a different colour.
