Author Biography:

Howard Simon (1902-79) was a nationally renowned painter in oils and watercolors and an illustrator who worked in sketches and woodcut prints. Simon's works were exhibited at the Smithsonian and other museums, and he was a member of the art faculty of New York University for 20 years.
