"Well worth it if it's within your budget"

Truly awesome monitor being the first 144hz experience for me. You will need the hardware though to power this beast at its full 1440p and 144hz potential. No back-light bleed or dead pixels when inspected on arrival. Gorgeous IPS panel. Overall loving it so far!

"AMAZING!"

After all the reviews I've read about the monitor I was really worried that I was going to get really bad back light bleeding or even dead pixels and even readied the box incase I have to get the screen replaced.

Once I have done the tests I was surprised at the quality of the screen that Ive got, barely any BLB and not a single dead/stuck pixel. The delivery was really quick too (overnight) and really recommend this monitor for anyone who has tried 144hz on 1080p before and looking for an upgrade.

Definitely worth the money!

"WOW!"

The best monitor I have owned. Very minimal or no BLB. IPS is amazing, average out of the box. Need to calibrate it to your own liking. Having 2 980s I can run games max out. G-Sync makes games that much smother. Expensive but worth it, highly recommended.

As a serious gamer, including an online broadcaster and someone who uses photoshop and watches a lot of netflix/youtube I can say this monitor is A M A Z I N G! I'm saving up already for two more to replace my other two monitors. Well worth it!

"Worth the spend!"

The last 4 years I never realized how much of an experience myself and the potential my old gtx 1070 was missing out on limited to a 1080p 60hz monitor, this was also a TN Panel.

Especially as I plan to fully upgrade my rig(including the GPU after I see the next series possibly later this year), first things first, I went for a 1440p 144hz G-Sync monitor as minimum requirements, also wasn't interested in 2160p as I preferred what was still a good upgrade in native resolution that I would constantly use while depending on the game easily hold 60fps and some push past 100fps on my current gtx 1070. With this monitor chosen as my first step up into 1440p and to be a long term upgrade, these first couple weeks of use I have been extremely happy for the money I spent.

Out of the box the monitor feels solid, so physically I am glad it doesn't feel cheap, no dead pixels at all, backlight bleed and ips glow are not an issue with my particular monitor. It does take some setting adjustments to get your ideal display but once that is done you are good to go.

Compared to the 60hz I have been used to for the past 4 years this 144hz to 165hz if you OC is very noticeable, I love how smooth everything even on desktop and work apps are for me.

G-Sync with this monitor has worked flawlessly from what I have seen to ensure no screen tearing.

Again this is intended to be a long term upgrade for me especially to take full advantage of a new GPU later so I didn't want to just go for the cheapest option of what I was after, I am very happy to spend what I did on this, I have enjoyed many hours gaming and watching YouTube on this monitor.

I can never go back to 1080p nor 60hz

If you are willing to pay the extra for a long term 1440p 144hz monitor with G-Sync, I definitely recommend this.

And thank you Mighty Ape for still shipping this out to me in great time despite the circumstances at the time.

"Beautiful and smooth! Worth the cost"

144hz + G-Sync makes a world of difference, especially on FPS games. If you have a computer capable of pushing this framerate at 2560×1440p, then I would highly recommend this monitor. There's nothing like it. The butter-smooth visuals coupled with the resolution beats a 1080p 60hz monitor any day. TL;DR: It's good.

"Never going back to LED"

The first thing I played on this was the BF1 beta, I was instantly amazed by the vibrant colours and the smooth frame-rate (gtx 1070). I've previously been on 1080p 60hz LED, I don't think I could ever go back to that now. I've been ruined by this super monitor. No BLB that I noticed, but I'm not one of those who go looking for it, trying to prove it's there, the IPS panel is perfect as far I can tell. If you can afford it and have at least a GTX 1070 I highly recommend this monitor.

"Warning"

This is a beautiful monitor, but it took over a month to arrive and it was faulty.

Acer quoted on ‎22–04–2016 that the issue will require a firmware update performed by their service center. Purchasing on 30–06–2017 and not receiving until 01–08–2017, I expected to receive at the very least a panel that had been updated within the last 16 months, if not a brand new panel – especially at such a premium of $1200.

Acer confirmed the fault over the phone and assured me that the NZ Service center does have the tool needed to update the firmware. They organised a courier to collect the panel to be serviced two days later.

Absolutely worth the money once the firmware is updated, although they should have made it so you can update the firmware via usb port

If you can afford the extra $200, get the identical spec Asus PG279Q instead.
