This is a great addon to Company of Heroes. Choosing between units before a battle was a great idea making each game different and more exciting. The new game modes are great completely different to the orignal Company of Heroes which adds more this game. Story mode is great fun could have been a bit longer. Overall 10/10.

"Completes the Trilogy"

Tales of Valor offers 3 new short campaigns for all CoH single-players out there. There are no new units, instead existing units can be ‘upgraded’ to the ‘Tales of Valor version’, which are probably stronger.

For multiplayer veterans, there aren't a lot of new features to offer besides a new Multiplayer Mode called Operations which comes in 3 flavours; Assault, Stonewall, and Panzerkrieg. In Assault mode, for example, you control 7 ‘heroes’ with the objective to fight through the enemy defence and destroy the enemy base – similar to Warcraft 3's Defence of the Ancient style ‘heroes’.

Overall a good buy for CoH fans, but there isn't a lot of excitement for casual RTS players.

"A worthy addition to the CoH franchise"

Tales of Valor is a worthy addition to the game, the new game modes, campaigns and units add a new dimension to the game that will keep players interested, both old and new.

The new games modes focus on co-operative online play, and although the map options are limited at present, Relic is planning to release more with upcoming patches.

The campaigns, although rather short, are very sweet and with the additional elements of direct fire make them all the more immersive and enjoyable.

As far as competitive multiplayer goes, Tales of Valor adds a good deal of new community maps which give players a good variety of battlefields to fight over. The new units are also interesting and powerful, this does create some current balance issues which are being worked on by Relic in the next patch.

Overall Tales of Valor is a worthwhile addition for people who enjoy all aspects, single, coop and multiplayer, of the game. Pure multiplayer gamers may not see as much value in this expansion but at a relatively low price point, the addition of a lot of new maps and units and the upcoming balance patches from Relic, it is a good investment.
