When comparing all important attributes such as read/write speed, physical casing, memory size and price… The Emtec Car Key doesn't measure up. What surprised me most was the below average speeds. Apparently, this flash drive is advertised to have up to 18MB/s read/write speed… Which I was simply not able to reach, running at an average of 4MB/s it has a long way to go. That said, the size of the flash drive both memory and physical are perfect, being quite light and can be handled with ease. Sadly, the quality of the materials don't hold up… As the cheap plastic casing soon starts to crack and break. In the end, the Emtec Car Key is a low-end consumer USB 2.0 memory solution for an affordable price.
