Computer Chassis Showcase Part Three: Full Towers

By Andi

So far we've looked at the Mid Tower and the Mini Tower options for your different rig needs. In our final entry in our Computer Chassis Showcase, we're looking at the big daddies of computer cases – the Full Tower.

The Full Tower isn't for everyone. You're looking at a more expensive rig that takes up a lot more space. However, the benefits are huge when you look at the interior space you have to work with – more room for mounting, better cable management resulting in more streamlined airflow, and there's plenty of room to install Water Cooling if you want to go down that path.

So here are 3 of our picks for you to check out if you're in the market for a Full Tower Computer Chassis.

1) SilverStone Raven ATX Full Tower

Angular and aggressive, this case has the looks to match your gaming prowess. Despite this, it still keeps the understated subtlety that SilverStone is known for. A front on view is polished and simple, with continuous lines that hint at the sharp design featured throughout the rest of the chassis.

Inside, the Raven has some truly incredible features – the biggest of which is 90 degree motherboard mounting. With your components facing upwards, you can allow for heat to rise directly out of the case naturally, all helped along by dual 180mm fans. The result is a case that excels in keeping cool with very minimum effort.

2) Cooler Master Storm Stryker Full Tower

As visually stunning as it is realistically practical, the Storm Stryker from Cooler Master both talks the talk and walks the walk when it comes to looks and function.

With a gorgeous contrast of ice white panelling and black mesh across the exterior, this case is eye catching in even the darkest of gaming caves. Meanwhile, the interior affords you all the room you need, be it an array of hard drives or even the longest of graphics card. Whatever you want to put in the Storm Stryker – it'll take it all with ease.

3) Corsair Obsidian 900D Full Tower

Simple, square and sophisticated. The Corsair 900D gets down to business, with air brushed steel and aluminium construction.

Cooling will never be an issue for the 900D, with up to 15 total fan mounting locations… in case you want a small tornado inside your chassis. Similarly, you can add two additional drive cages to bring your total up to 15 as well. One can never have too many drives…

Compartmentalisation in the 900D allows for the isolation of your power supply and drives, plus a much tidier cable management system, while still maintaining quick access for swapping out drives.

Of all the Full Tower cases out there, these stand out for their dynamic design and practical uses. Of course, if you still haven't seen one that takes your fancy, you can always check out our full range of Full Towers!
