Mafia II shipping in two weeks

By Che

Do you like mob flicks like The Godfather, Goodfellas, Scarface, and Casino? Did you watch The Sopranos? Have you ever had the urge to experience life in La Cosa Nostra without the risk of an “iron vacation” or the constant threats of violence? Well we're getting a brand new game that will be right up your alley, Mafia II.

Mafia II, like the name suggests is a Mafia-themed sandbox-style action game for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC that is beling released on August 26th. The game is set in Empire Bay, a fictional city based on San Francisco and New York, and follows the story of Vito the son of an Italian immigrant. In his pursuit of the American dream Vito is lured into life in the criminal underworld. Mafia II is expected to be an immersive gaming experience with a strong story and script, and licenced music that will tranport you back to the ‘40s and ’50s.

The demo was released overnight on Xbox Live and Steam (for PC), so if you need a little more convincing I suggest that you give the demo a test-drive to see if you're willing to drop some dough on it.

We are getting a special Collectors Edition of Mafia II which comes in a steelbook case and includes the “Made Man Pack”, a hardcover art book, Mafia II orchestral soundtrack, and a map of Empire Bay for only $20 more than the standard editions. We also have an exclusive pre-order off on top of that; if you pre-order the Collectors Edition you'll also get the “Renegade” download pack, a Mafia II key ring plus an awesome Mafia II poster! Impressionante!

We're shipping Mafia II in two weeks. Pre-order now to avoid “sleepin' with the fishes!” :P

I concur, Mafia 1 had some really innovative parts like the racing, the hitman mission on the boat as well as some really one of a kind mission designs.

I havent played it in years and even when i thought the game was over it really wasnt at all, im gonna be having some hard thoughts over the next couple of days trying to see if i can get in for this collectors.
