The author is fully qualified on the subject. As well as a New Zealand perspective there is Pacific and global contexts. The book is right up to date as it includes cyclone Gabrielle. It has useful chapters at the end on what we can do on a local and personal level, and a list of further resources. It is an easy read with large font and double spacing. I've learnt a lot from this book.
