Author Biography:

JILL DUREY is a Senior Lecturer in English at Edith Cowan University, Perth, Western Australia. She has published Realism and Narrative Modality: The Hero and Heroine in Eliot, Tolstoy and Flaubert and articles on Eliot, Tolstoy, Flaubert and Trollope, including his genealogy.
