I enjoyed this movie more than the others in the transporter series. It was more tense, more chemistry between the two main actors, it was “cool”.

I enjoyed this movie more than the others in the transporter series. It was more tense, more chemistry between the two main actors, it was “cool”.
The third transporter movie is more of the same and that is a very good thing. This one doesn't amp the action up to ridiculous levels like so many sequels do to try to beat the preceding movies. To be fair the action has always been firmly tongue in cheek, ludicrous and totally for fun in the Transporter movies anyway (I think we all remember the removal of the bomb from the underside of the car via barrel roll and crane in the second movie) but this is part of the appeal. The movies are all just pure fun and they don't have a nasty bone in their bodies. Speaking of bodies Transporter 3 continues the series trend of having unconventional leading ladies with the inclusion of Russian Natalya Rudakova. She is pale, ludicrously freckled and won't give Meryl Streep a scare at the Oscars ever but she is likable and oddly attractive.
The Blu-ray transfer is solid and there is a decent amount of extra material to more than justify the only $5 extra over the dvd version.
The transporter series continues in the same un-inspired vein as the second. Mirroring the previous movies again Frank (Statham) is embroiled unwillingly into transporting a mystery package.
Typically french script writing shows through with some strange dialouge between Statham and the leading girl who's mumbling Russian accent wears thin very quickly.
Great action and over the top stunts will provide mild entertainment. Better off watching ‘Crank’, similarly brainless but at least its has better screenplay and knows how to pack a good punch laced with humor.
Avoid unless your a real fan of the series.
Frank Martin has been pressured into transporting Valentina, the kidnapped daughter of Leonid Vasilev, the head of the Environmental Protection Agency for the Ukraine, from Marseilles through Stuttgart and Budapest until he ends up in Odessa on the Black Sea.
Along the way, with the help of Inspector Tarconi, Frank has to contend with the people who strong armed him to take the job, agents sent by Vasilev to intercept him, and the general non-cooperation of his passenger.
Despite Valentina's cynical disposition and his resistance to get involved, Frank and Valentina fall for each other, while escaping from one life-threatening situation after another.
