Description

Long hailed as an inspirational classic in the personal finance space, The Richest Man in Babylon imparts ancient wisdom regarding wealth management and financial wellness. Written after the stock market crash of 1929 and set in ancient Babylon, this collection of simple parables has made a huge impact on the way millions of people have approached wealth building. Though the stories are ancient, the wisdom is timeless--including principles of financial planning, frugal living, and wise investing. Including a foreword by BiggerPockets Podcast and BiggerPockets Money Podcast hosts David Greene and Mindy Jensen, this unaltered version of the original text maintains its integrity as one of the greatest financial literacy books of all time. In the words of author George S. Clason, "Money is plentiful for those who understand the simple laws which govern its acquisition..." and those simple laws can be uncovered in this enduring classic.

Author Biography:

George Samuel Clason was born in Louisiana, Missouri, on November 7, 1874. He attended the University of Nebraska and served in the United States Army during the Spanish-American War. Beginning a long career in publishing, he founded the Clason Map Company of Denver, Colorado, and published the first road atlas of the United States and Canada. In 1926, he issued the first of a famous series of pamphlets on thrift and financial success, using parables set in ancient Babylon to make each of his points. These were distributed in large quantities by banks and insurance companies and became familiar to millions, the most famous being "The Richest Man in Babylon," the parable from which the present volume takes its title. These "Babylonian parables" have become a modern inspirational classic. Mindy Jensen has been buying and selling homes for more than twenty years. Currently, she's working on her ninth live-in flip--she buys ugly houses, moves in, makes them beautiful, sells them, and starts the process all over again. She is a licensed real estate agent in Colorado, co-host of the BiggerPockets Money Podcast, author of First-Time Home Buyer and How to Sell Your Home, and the Community Manager for BiggerPockets.com, where she helps new and experienced investors learn the best real estate investing techniques to build wealth. She currently owns a single-family rental, a short-term rental, a mobile home park, and a co-working space, plus she has taken part in syndications, private lending, and seller financing deals. Mindy is passionate about financial freedom, and she wants to help as many people reach this milestone as possible so they can live their best lives. When you can get her to stop talking about real estate, you can find her on her bike or adventuring in the beautiful mountains of Colorado. David Greene is a real estate investor with more than nine years of experience. He has bought, rehabbed, and managed more than 35 single-family rental properties, owns shares in three large multifamily apartment complexes, shares in note funds, and is a top-producing real estate agent on the Keller Williams East County team. A nationally recognized authority on real estate, David is the co-host of the BiggerPockets Podcast and has been featured on CNN, Forbes, and HGTV. He is the author of three bestselling books--Long-Distance Real Estate Investing; SOLD: Every Real Estate Agent's Guide; and Buy, Rehab, Rent, Refinance, Repeat (BRRRR)--which have sold more than 350,000 copies combined. David loves basketball, Batman, being an uncle, and helping people achieve total financial independence through real estate. He currently lives in Northern California.
