Description

What are the joys of celebrating a child's birthday? What are the tribulations of dealing with Alzheimer's? How do we deal with the loss of a parent? What are the challenges of maintaining relationships? How do relationships with siblings evolve? Answers to all these questions are rather complex. The Inner Truth deals with these complexities in the form of beautifully crafted prose. The author takes readers on a journey of self-reflection. Using personal experiences, the book grounds several emotions in reality.

Author Biography:

Gurpreet Dhillon, PhD is a resident of Richmond, Virginia. He was born in India, schooled at an Irish Catholic institution and completed his educational endeavors culminating in a PhD from England. A graduate of the London School of Economics, he considers himself fortunate to have experienced socialism and liberalism with a sprinkle of conservatism. He considers the mix to be fodder for thought, which is a gift he received from LSE. While a prolific academic writer, The Inner Truth is one of his first poetry books. He attributes his poetic progression to his background and a unique set of circumstances. He draws significant motivation to write from his Alzheimer's stricken mother and the joys and tribulations of maintaining relationships. He is currently a Professor in the School of Business, Virginia Commonwealth University. Richmond, Virginia, USA. He is happily married and lives with his loving wife and two children. His family has been a source of much of the inspiration.
