Description

When his daughter, Joelle, died of a neuromuscular disease at age sixteen, Stan Inouye had to face whether his faith was greater than the reality of her death. He dug deeply into the Bible seeking hope and assurance. Stan's beliefs proved true for him, but, more importantly, what resulted was a transformed relationship with the Person who is the source of the truth his beliefs are based on. As a result, Stan wrote The GodMan, a poetic outpouring of words elucidating the Bible from beginning to end as a single seamless story-the story of Christ's Creation. Experiencing this reality, Stan is now more certain than ever that he will see Joelle again and live life together with her forever! This is the Text Only Version of The GodMan poem . A Paperback Version that includes both art and text is also available. A custom-made Gallery Version encased in an elegant Japanese silk-lined, matte black metal presentation box can also be obtained by direct request to Iwa, the publisher.

Author Biography:

Stan Inouye, the author, is captivated by the intricate simplicity of the historical and eternal person of Jesus, and wants everyone to have the opportunity to get to know him. Stan is also passionate about collecting naturally sculpted rocks, the serene sound of a good fly fishing stream, the scent of freshly fallen wood chips while carving, and playing his Japanese bamboo flute during quiet moments of personal prayer and meditation. Stan graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in Landscape Architecture, and has been involved in full-time Christian ministry ever since. He has held national and international responsibilities with a major Christian organization, taught courses during and after attending seminary, and published articles in a number of Christian books and magazines. He has spoken widely at retreats and conferences across the country, and has served as a consultant to many churches, denominations and other ministry organizations. In 1981, Stan founded the ministry of Iwa, which seeks to assist Christians and churches to more effectively relate the essential meaning of the Bible to Asian Americans, especially Japanese Americans. Stan is married to Janie and has two daughters, Heather and Joelle.
