Description

The dark, riveting, and timely debut from Christian Lemar. Nyemhaa's Star has returned. For Hermod Vincent, perhaps the world's most powerful demigod, being black and queer is sometimes as difficult as being almighty. Little does Hermod know, under Nyemhaa's starlight, being a Vincent is about to become his greatest challenge. Two hundred years ago, twins Vincent and Juno, former slaves turned abolitionist witches, were betrayed, and assassinated during one of their plantation-breaking ceremonies. As they lay dying under Nyemhaa's mystic starlight, they made a vow . . . "The blood will flow again." For Dr. Scott Gaskill, a survivor of Juno and Vincent's final battle, the bicentennial return of Nyemhaa's Star is deeply troubling. When he identifies Hermod as Juno and Vincent's direct descendant, he realizes his worst fear has come true. One of the most powerful super beings on earth is about to be possessed by the murderous children of the void.
