Takom: 1/16 M50A1 Ontos w/Interior – Model Kit
This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
The M50 Ontos is a U.S. Marine Corps self-propelled recoilless gun equipped with six M40 106mm recoilless guns, developed as an anti-tank vehicle in the 1950s. At that time, the U.S. Army decided to develop a variety of lightweight armored vehicles using a general-purpose chassis, and when the T165 equipped with six 106mm recoilless guns was prototyped, in 1955 the improved T165E2 was used as the M50. Since the mid-1960s, when this vehicle was put into action in the Vietnam War, it was rarely used in anti-tank combat, but it demonstrated its power in anti-infantry combat in the battles of Hue and Khe Sanh. The M50A1 is a vehicle in which 176 M50 engines were converted from 6-cylinder engines to V-type 8-cylinder engines between 1963 and 1965.
