Description

Surviving the Writing Apocalypse is a comprehensive manual geared toward authors at all stages of writing. This manual includes some of the top content errors made by self-published authors along with easy fixes. Topics such as point of view review, point of view transitions, using all bold and capitalization, when to use italics, scene breaks, branding, scene transitions, showing versus telling, dialogue tags, and much more are categorized within this manual. Many chapters include examples, do's and don'ts, writing exercises, and links to further resources. The manual is also accompanied by a website dedicated to quality independent books and creates the challenge to write a quality book. The author, an independently published author herself, feels the standards of self-published books needs to be raised, and it starts with the author. This manual can be read from beginning to end or used for specific reference points. Surviving the Writing Apocalypse can be used for personal resource or as a teaching aid to writing programs. Can you survive the writing apocalypse?
