I enjoyed this typical Coen Brothers film. Matt Damon plays the distressed husband of a murdered wife, until you suddenly realise he is not averse to a little violence to get his own way including threatening his own small child with murder! Love the juxtaposition of the almost tame riot against the black family new to the neighbourhood, with the deadly bloody murder happening across the fence in the nice white family!
Suburbicon
Suburbicon is a peaceful, idyllic suburban community with affordable homes and manicured lawns…the perfect place to raise a family, and in the summer of 1959, the Lodge family is doing just that. But the tranquil surface masks a disturbing reality, as husband and father Gardner Lodge (Matt Damon) must navigate the town’s dark underbelly of betrayal, deceit, and violence.
