I had high hopes for this movie, with the original director of Starship Troopers (a must see) coming back to fix the lame horror the series had turned into with Starship Troopers 2. Unfortunately, this movie was a let down as well, in oh so many ways. Casper Van Dien, back as Rico after an amazing performance in Starship Troopers, doesn't actually get a major part, which turns out to be good because for most of his screen time he walks around doing a bad John Wayne impression. The film tries to hold up a bad script and cartoon-like special effects (no exagerration, seriously, some of it could have been a scene from Dragon Ball Z) with political and religious themes, as well as the all-to-common but-now-so-random boob flashes and blatant sexual innuendos. Overall, rent it, don't buy it.
