This book is realistic. It doesn't claim that you, a millennial, can magically buy a house if you just save money, skip brunch (as per the article the title refers to), and hope for the best. It's an honest & refreshing yet detailed & comprehensive look into the author's first home buyer journey in Melbourne, Australia that includes not just her story, but the stories of other millennials too. To me, the biggest message from this book is to make sustainable sacrifices that are in line with your values & long term goals in order to ‘power save’ a deposit – and also to be patient, realistic, and think outside the box!
