It’s been a musical journey that has seen Ghost navigate 3 albums (2 solo), a mix CD, numerous vinyl EPs and singles, remix credits for the likes of The Heavy, Nicole Wills & The Soul Investigators, Coldcut, Bonobo, Kashmere, Jehst to name a few, and throughout Ghost has received critical acclaim, strong sales and support from the likes of Zane Lowe, Mr. Scruff, Gilles Peterson, Sarah Love, and a host of international DJs across the globe. Not to mention support from magazines and blogs from New Zealand, to Tokyo, San Francisco and all the way back to London. In 2009 Ghost moved to NZ and has been immersing himself in the local music scene since.
“Postcards from the Edge”, Ghost’s 3rd solo album, pushes further his penchant for intimately crafted works of deeply layered musical treasures. With a palette of lush synths, off kilter beats and brooding bass, Ghost merges his Hip Hop roots with a love of Wonky Beats, Dubstep and electronia. This isn’t a token album of electronic bleeps; this is a finely tuned body of music that feels lovingly created at every twist and turn throughout the album. “Postcards from the Edge” is a brooding array of sounds, thoughts and emotions with swirling synths, string stabs and heavy bass.
