Description

While patrolling Hamilton Township's Riverfront Park, Officer Jack and Officer Kate hear shouts for help. Running to the boat ramp they see a car in the river with a lady trapped inside. Officer Jack can't open the doors and the car is rapidly filling with water. Can Officer Kate find a solution before the car sinks? The Officer Jack series of children's illustrated story books describes the adventures of Officer Jack and Officer Kate as they patrol Hamilton Township. On foot or in Car 14, they are committed to preserving property, protecting people, and stopping crime. Called "Good Books for Young Boys and Girls" the Officer Jack and Uncle Rocky, Fireman stories make up the "Glad To Do It!" series of children's illustrated story books. The stories are free of bad behavior and the characters are kind, friendly people who enjoy helping others. "Glad To Do It!" books emphasize service to others and devotion to duty as each story ends with the trademark statement, "Glad to do it!" Author Biography:

James (Jim) Burd Brewster is the author of the Uncle Rocky, Fireman series which are now joined by the Officer Jack series with this book. He was raised in Albany, NY, learned to sail on Lake Champlain, navigated a Polar Icebreaker in the US Coast Guard, and married Katie Spivey from Wilmington, NC. His writing career started when Sam, their last child, left for college and Jim and Katie took a creative writing class as "Empty-Nesters." Professor Wayne Karlin's class gave them the desire to write down the Uncle Rocky, Fireman stories, Christina Allen's advice gave them the confidence to publish them, and Yvonne Medley's Life Journey's Writers Club gave him the technical knowledge to do it. He can be contacted through: www.gladtodoit.net Mary Barrows is a freelance illustrator from the small town of Walkersville, MD.
