Jumping from a DS Lite the 2DS has been good to me ever since I opened the box. The insanely low price point and build quality is why I'd happily buy a second 2DS. Loss of 3D barely affects most games, while 3D is fun to toggle on and off as you see fit it's really not needed to enjoy the library of games available for the 3DS/2DS consoles.

If you're unsure about buying this due to the mindless disapproval from non-2ds owners (or experiencers) don't be. It's a fantastic product and one I am very happy with.

Great new Nintendo! love it! it fits comfortably in my medium sized hands and is a LOT of fun. Definitely worth the money!

Great little machine runs well, only bought it for pokemon but after owning it for a bit its really made me want to play more games.

The 2DS came a few days late, but it works perfectly. This item that I've never come into contact with is probably pretty cool. The other person who is using this has never seen it, but he thinks it's pretty neato.

The 2ds is a sturdy cheap option for anyone in New Zealand. I bought this product for the sole reason to play pokemon and animal crossing and it doesn't disappoint. The screen brightness and the actual make is quality with only a small problem with how the d-pad feels a bit tacky sometimes but otherwise ok. People worrying about the bulk and size of this product have nothing to fear, when I received the 2ds I didn't realise how small it was and I was expecting something bigger however this was not a problem as it is the perfect size and just fits into some of my pockets. Overall this product is a welcome change in price and of great quality.

Whilst being almost half as cheap as the XL, the 2DS offers the same thing with the only down sides being unable to use the 3D feature (which isn't even that good to begin with) and the fact you can't put it in your pocket.

The 2DS is a great, affordable option for those who don't wish to spend the extra money for a 3D feature, and its very adequate for most features that you'd want to use on the 3DS – even do to taking 3D pictures. However, after extended usage, my thumb (on the left, right, up and down arrows) started to feel very uncomfortable because of the unnatural position. Regardless, I'm very pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone who wants a slightly cheaper option.

At first, when I bought a Nintendo DSi, I was all “Yay! These are the best graphics & games ever!!” Then when the 3DS came out, I wanted one, but the 3D always made me sick. But now, with a 2DS, it's the same games, and 3D enhanced, but not actually 3D. I know it may not make sense, but it definitely worth it.

Awesome handheld gaming console if you are trying to decide between this and a 3ds, dont worry too much about it cause at this price it's every bit as good as a 3ds and the graphics are still amazing even with no 3d.

As soon as I stop writing this I'm going to play with it. I was so happy when it arrived (After what felt like a year but was actually lightning fast) And not being able to toggle 3D just doesn't really matter. I've seen the 3D and it's a cheap gimmick. The 2DS is much more comfortable to hold anyway. Will buy from Mighty Ape again (Probably horse mask) One more thing, good news, Mighty Ape is the second thing to come up in Google search after Minecraft when you type “M” Thank You.

This is a great deal because you can play every 3DS game on a 2DS except a 2DS is cheaper.

I have always wanted a 3DS, preferably a 3DS-XL (as I am a fan of 3D Movies/Games), however could never justify the $300 price-tag.

Got this on Special for $149 – and is ABSOLUTELY worth it, only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is that sometime you get teased how great the game would look on the 3DS-XL, as the 3D-effect is obviously built-into some games from the ground-up.

This console provides people who dislike 3D with the opportunity to still play the games released for 3DS. Battery lasts a good long while, and the console itself is very comfortable to hold. Very playable.

While the 2DS looks like a doorwedge or a fine slice of cheese, it is surprisingly comfortable in your hands, allowing for your fingers to fit snuggly onto the L and R buttons. While, it only has a Mono Speaker, that can easily be replaced by a pair of headphones and even with a mono there's little difference I have found. This gets 4 out of five due to the fact that the volume slider is placed underneath your finger hen holding it and sometimes slips down, muting the sound. a small design flaw but a nuisance nonetheless.

Really good for those who don't want the 3D gimmick or are on a budget. It fits a bit awkwardly for adult hands, the controls need to be higher to fit the lower corner in your palm. That said, I'm getting a lot of enjoyment out of it. Totally worth it.
