Monsters is basically a subtly romantic film in an apocalyptic setting. A photographer and a politician's daughter fall in love while they are trying to cross Mexico to reach the United States. They have no other option than to cross the infected area in order to reach their destination. The soundtrack is amazing. Beautifully composed by Jon Hopkins (his debut). In contrast to other apocalyptic movies of 2010, like Skyline, Monsters was a great and enjoyable film with good acting. Unlike Skyline, Monsters has a nice and believable plot. Overall I would give Monsters a 3.5/5
