Although singer-songwriter Nelly Furtado broke through to the mainstream with the hip-hop-inflected R&B pop of her smash hit "Promiscuous," the Canadian singer-songwriter had previously made her name as a more sensitive and folk-tinged artist. LOOSE: THE CONCERT, recorded during Furtado's 2007 world tour, is an appealing blend of the two sides of her musical world, including a solid version of her first hit, 2001's "I'm Like A Bird," and tracks from her world music-influenced second album, FOLKLORE. LOOSE: THE CONCERT was also released as a DVD.
