Kayne and Lynch is a 3rd person shooter which places you in the shoes of
ex-hitman and current death row inmate Adam ‘Kayne’ Marcus, who, resolute to
his fate, is being transported to his execution with other prisoners.
This is until he meets James Lynch, another death row inmate (with a dark
secret) who has no intention of taking his sentence lying down, instead he wants
to offer Kane one final job.
While the dark humour and the plot of the game is captivating and
entertaining, Kayne and Lynch shows its age with its sub-standard controls, with
automatic reloading (you cannot control when the characters reload their
weapons) and the dodgy, unreliable snap-to cover system, there is a little to be
desired.
However you must realise that this was one of the earlier games released and
development has come a long way in the past 2 and a half years, however for
under $50 you can't argue the value for money you are getting.
I say grab the energy drinks, snack food and put the kids to bed and prepare
for one of the most entertaining and engaging storylines of the past
2 years.
