Tiki Taane re-releases his 2011 #1 Album with 3 bonus tracks – this limited release is a snap shot of the hectic year Tiki has had so far.
Included on the re-release is Crushingtons monstrous remix of “Soundtrack To Forever” which has been smashing dance floors around the globe.
Also added is the political “Freedom To Sing” which was recorded &
filmed live in Tauranga for NZ Music Month. This song was written about
Tiki's controversial arrest in which he was hand cuffed & jailed for
singing NWA's “F#%@ the Police” at one of his private R18 concerts. Tiki has
since had a positive mediation with the Tauranga Police in which they dropped
the
charge of “disorderly behavior, likely to incite violence” and have admitted
that the arrest was a “misunderstanding”.
And the final track to be added is the epic “My Lion (RWC Remix)” by Tiki & Optimus Gryme featuring the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra. This track was remixed especially for the Rugby World Cup Opening Ceremony in which over 4 billion people tuned in. The amazing orchestral parts were written by Victoria Kelly & recorded at York Street by some of NZs most respected sound engineers. Tiki then mixed this epic track at his Tikidub Productions studio saying that it was the most challenging but rewarding mix he has ever undertaken.
