The aircraft used in the squadron were the Junkers Ju 52/2m, D-2600, the Focke-Qulf FW200 Condor and the Junkers Ju 290, a true "flying fortress". Sweeting discusses the wartime history of these types of aircraft beyond their service in Hitler's squadron, including their full combat role. Author Biography:

C. G. SWEETING is a military aviation historian who served as a curator at the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum for fifteen years. He is the author of numerous books, including Hitler's Personal Pilot: The Life and Times of Hans Baur and Combat Flying Clothing: Army Air Forces Clothing through World War II.
