"A great blast from the past."

Take it for what it is and a product of its time this is a great watch. The animated special effects cannot compare with todays CG. But, given the time it was very well done. I was very disappointed with DVD interpretation of this I saw some years back. While you can see a few moths here and there from the film print on bluray, they've done a far better job of transferring it this time.

Just as good now as it was the first time I saw this movie quite a number of years ago – on a VHS cassette tape!! “There can be only one!”

"Classic Must Have!!"

Set to the Epic Queen soundtrack this is a wonderful story that will capture your imagination from the opening scenes until the credits roll at the end. Lambert delivers a wonderful performance of a man with a gift he does not want. Watching him struggle with his emotional torment and then kick butt and chop off heads is awesome. Clancy Brown in my opinion is the best part of this movie. He is entertaining and creepy at the same time and easily one of the best villains of the silver screen. The fight scenes are epic and will have you on the edge cheering for your hero. My favorite scene involves a old lady and Clancy Brown tearing it up down the road in a old car. Classic movie awesomeness. A good port to Blu-Ray but still a few scenes that are not as crisp as others. Having said that this is still by far the best version of this iconic movie you will have the pleasure of owning and watching. A must have for any movie fan. There can be only one !

A great film from the past , but needs work done to translate it to blue-ray, there were some patchy moments, and some super clean moments, some times older films on blue-ray doint live up to the blue-ray reputation, something to consider when building your blue-ray film libary :+)
