This book is about the lives of a brother and sister and their children. Ida Bates Davis was a young lady when she married her husband and took on the responsibility of raising 14 children. She went on to have 8 children of her own. Her brother, Travis Bates, raised 11 children. This book includes stories and pictures of all of these wonderful people. The death of Betty Jean Davis Lane in 2016 completed the immediate family of Ida Bates Davis. The death of Rosie Desmond Bates Miller in 2016 completed the immediate family of Travis Bates.
