"Changing Minds In Science"
4 stars"

When I first fell in love with ‘Fringe’ the science facinated me. I mean, come on, a giant cold bug- Awesome. As I fell further and further into the delicious abyss of ‘Fringe’, the science really captured my attention. Then I found this book. These are not simply fans writing in their opinions, these are scientists, some with a PHD added. They explain it in terms that you can understand and to make it even better, there is even a chapter on our beloved Gene!

Strongly recommended for anyone who claims the title of ‘Fringe’ fan. It will spark much debate and make you sound really intelligent when people ask you what you are currently reading! It makes you take a second look at the science, the characters and the possibility of both worlds.

The only way this book could have been any better was if they included some cast and crew interviews about their personal opinions.

Description

Fringe, a science fiction procedural in the best tradition of The X-Files with a taut central mythology, rich characters, and its own laboratory cow. In its weekly cases and its overarching plot, Fringe strikes a compelling balance between the strange and the familiar, and the quirky and the tragic. Fringe Science delves into the science, science fiction, and pseudoscience of Fringe with a collection of essays by science and science fiction writers on everything from alternate universes to time travel to genetically targeted toxins, as well as discussions on the show's moral philosophy and the consequences of playing God.
