Okay so I admit I bought this after BBC Merlin withdrawals so I could see Bradley James in something again but let me tell you there is so much more to this movie. Written by Noel Coward (Kidulthood) Fast Girls is a great representation of British film – an inspirational story centering around a girl from the wrong side of the tracks making it to the World Athletics Championships and chasing her dreams over all the obstacles in in her way. A strong spunky female cast including Lily James before she was famous (now playing Lady Rose in Downton Abbey), a story accessible to pretty much everyone and a rocking modern soundtrack (Example, Labrinth, to name a few), this movie is a knock-out feel good ride.
