Cop Out
Two long time NYPD partners on the trail of a stolen, rare, mint‐condition
baseball card find themselves up against a merciless, memorabilia-obsessed
gangster.
Jimmy (Bruce Willis) is the veteran detective whose missing collectible is
his only hope to pay for his daughter upcoming wedding and Paul (Tracy Morgan)
is his partner‐against‐crime whose preoccupation with his wife alleged
infidelity makes it hard for him to keep his eye on the ball.
Critic Reviews:
- " Feels like a flashback to early Robin Williams or Eddie Murphy films.
" – Richard Propes
- " Director Kevin Smith capitalizes on the duo's great chemistry and
gets laugh-out-loud performances from Morgan as a bag of insecurities (not far
from his 30 Rock role) and Willis as the stoic macho man. " –
Thelma Adams
- " A dynamically dumb, guilty-pleasure comedy. " – Leigh
