Description

A young man of twenty-two, Emmanguel Dennett is battling psychological problems because of his involvement with the occult since a child. His family residing in rustic Alabama concedes to his letters and visits his home in Washington (a secret attempt by Emmanguel to use them in his ritual work). Dreams and psychic phenomenon capture the family on a daily basis raising suspicions and distrust among all of them. Secrets that tie in with the enigmatic occurrences begin to leak (among them Emmanguel's hidden psychokinesis) and the turmoil entangling the family intensifies. Emmanuel is now pushed into the darkest horrors of his psychological repression as his entire world caves in around him in obtuse devastation. The story finds its conclusion from the powerful and deceptive games the devil constructs to capture individuals involved with his masterful crafts, whether by their own will, or abjectly consecrated into a sacrilegious cult. Enigmatically, the family is killed off in a compelling, supernatural conquest, as the ending to this horror - psychological thriller emerges. Writing of the novel begun in 1990 and continued, give or take a hiatus or two, until early 1995. It was set-aside until the summer of 2003, which at the time was finally edited. In its full version, the novel is a stunning, gripping nightmare. Amid its intrigue and suspense, readers will be gripped from the opening scene to the shattering denouement. It has a literate and stylized narrative, and a strong appeal to horror-mystery lovers - well worth reading. Any avid horror novel devotee must add this one to his/her list.
