Description

Steel yourselves readers, because nothing you have ever read can prepare you for An Unfinished House, K. Patrick Malone's most harrowing and uncompromising foray yet into the darkness of both the natural and supernatural, and New York Book Festival 2009 Fiction First Runner Up. Michael Golden, a hard working, every man builder and family man comes home from work one evening to find that his shy home maker wife has been killed in a car accident leaving him with two small children in the historic old colonial house they'd just bought. But something no one could have ever imagined happens when an outlaw biker arrives on his doorstep with a secret so devastating that it rocks An Unfinished House and those who live there to the very core of their existence; tearing the face off of human emotion and redefining the meaning of the word "love" with a haunting that will peel the paint off your walls and an ending that will leave you . . .shattered.

Author Biography:

K. Patrick Malone, a native of the New Jersey shore, graduated Monmouth University with a B.A. in Psychology before attaining a J.D. from Capital University Law School. After years of practicing law and apartment life in New York City, he returned to a small farm cottage near the Jersey shore to tend his English style garden and write his first book, Inside A Haunted Mind. An accomplished writer, Malone specializes in blood curdling tales of the occult, with finely detailed characters that tug at your heart or grab you by the throat and make your skin crawl. With his debut novel published in early 2007 by A Better Be Write Publishers, LLC, Inside A Haunted Mind has already garnered an Honorable Mention from the Hollywood Book Festival and has developed what can be most accurately described as an almost cult like following among mainstream readers and horror aficionados alike and his second effort, The Digger's Rest, will no doubt cement his place as one of today's leading writers of literary horror. His books are so unique in style and content with ironic twists to the endings that they keep readers hanging by the edge of their seats until the very last word.
