Author Biography:

Lewis Carroll (* January 27th, 1832; + January 17th, 1898) was really named Charles Lutwidge Dodgson but published his works under his pen name Lewis Carroll. Apart from being a writer, he was also a photographer, mathematician, logician, and Anglican deacon. Born in Daresbury in Cheshire County (England), he studied mathematics, theology, and classic literature. Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" (easily his most widely read work) was followed by a sequel by the name of "Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There". Other works by Carroll are "The Hunting of the Snark" and the two-volume "Sylvie and Bruno".
