Description

2017 - ALL NEW UPDATES to the The New York and Los Angeles Edition. Expanded to both markets for Auditions in Stage, Television, and Film, Casting Protocols, Rates, and Legitimate Services for the Working Actor. Each successive chapter lays out step-by-step actions for the actor's next move in building their career: the actor's game plan, portfolio, getting representation, taking meetings and understanding contracts, audition techniques, script breakdown, scams, and more. Whether you are new or an established professional, this book provides a solid and legitimate foundation of professional taste and insight to help you find work in this industry through all of its ever-changing tastes, and survive its "feast or famine," "crickets or cannonballs" energy. Take the path toward a career worth having. The companion MP3 download/Audio CD of "Actor Muscle: Nuts and Bolts of Audition Technique for Television and Film" is also available on all outlets, including Amazon.

Author Biography:

From Broadway to Soundstage, Bev Leech offers 30+ years of professional insight to the business of acting. As a Leading Lady/Character Actress, Beverly Leech studied directly with the late, great Stella Adler. Her professional credits include series regular, recurring and guest star roles on "NCIS," "Modern Family," "Rizzoli & Isles," "Criminal Minds," "Mad Men," "Mathnet," as well as national commercials for Progressive Insurance, Microsoft Windows Phone, Old Navy, Honda, Taco Bell, Jenny Craig, Soft Sense, AT&T, and Diet Coke. A 'theatre rat' since childhood, Bev's stage credits include Broadway, as Alaura Kingsley in "City of Angels", Denver Center Theatre Company, as Sarah Bernhardt in "Ladies of the Camellias", Cabrillo Music Theatre as Miss Hannigan in "Annie", and at the Los Angeles Theatre Center as Trudy in "Club Termina". Full on-camera credits are online at IMDb. She has been teaching professional actors since 2000 at academies such as The Stella Adler Studio, The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, South Coast Repertory, and private coaching in person and online through Actor Muscle. Beverly Leech is a current member of The Actors Gym, a professional writers and actors lab run by Academy Award winner Bobby Moresco. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Florida State University and is a member of the ATHE.
