Preordered a couple weeks back despite the bad vibes (done my own research). Got Ryse:Son of Rome. The game is visually stunning, a true next gen game, and the console itself can do everything. Watch videos, play tv, download games while your playing them. Cannot express enough how great I've found it. It has replaced my laptop and even my phone as my primary tech cause its faster.
Love my Xbox one. Got the Voice commands working by changing the region to US. Most voice commands work well, has trouble recognising some commands, but with the NZ patch should help.
Love how you can watch tv and play games, many claim it's a gimmick, but it is so useful, want to watch one of my favourite tv programs latter on, pause the game, watch my program, then jump back into the game.
Doing two things at once works like a charm. downloaded the demo sports rivals for Kinect and works far better than the Xbox360 Kinect.
The Xbox one does everything it said it does, it's also just as much as a gaming console as the PS4, with the bonus of an all in one entertainment centre.
The Xbox one will not collect dust as it's always on and ready, whether your watching tv or games. No need to turn off a console then turn on tv to watch, the Xbox one is always ready. The Tv function is more then a gimmick, it's real handy and you get the maximum use of it.
I would think when the novelty wears down with the PS4 many collect dust, the Xbox one avoids this problem.
To sum up not only a capable games console, but with the added multimedia bonus also.
