Ordered this computer in mid December, got told it would arrive in mid Jan, then was informed in mid Jan it was delayed till early Feb. Was not happy to start with, as mighty ape usually doesn't charge until ready to ship. My credit card got charged on the day of purchase. It was delayed 3 times and it finally arrived in late Feb. The computer was really good, just what i wanted. Staff at Mightyape was pretty apologetic, kept me updated, even though it was delayed for over 2 months.
Totally annoyed that it took over a month to deliver it after ordering. MightyApe had my money for a month, but I had no machine, and no word of its likely arrival. Vague and careless response to my inquiry on timing. The machine itself is gorgeous. I have the UX31E. It's the same format, only slightly chunkier to include graphics power, i7, and many usb connectors. I probably should have stuck with the lighter weight model of this range, but the graphics power suckered me, along with a timely email from Mightape mentioning it was now available (which of course, it wasn't…). Good build. Good set up. Very fast. Wireless reception excellent. The touch screen works like a dream, and integrates better into workflow than I'd imagined. Naturally I've modified the Win8 it came with to act like Win7. Asus are still very cool indeed. MightyApe and the NZ distributer, not so much.
